Kids on Epic! are encouraged to explore their interests and learn in a fun, safe, and engaging environment that includes fiction and non-fiction titles, “read to me” books, learning videos and teacher-created quizzes and reading lists. 

For all roles:

  • Targeting very strong Junior to Mid level candidates with 1 - 7 years of work experience.  The current team has more senior people so they need less experienced team members too
  • For Degree, CS is still prefered but bootcamp with strong experience and/or 4 year degree

Position 1: Mobile

What you need:

  • Native iOS or Android prior experience
  • Consumer facing application experience
    • Not a fit for candidate with enterprise experience
  • 2+ years in Native Mobile development with examples in the app store

    Position 2: Backend Engineer

    What you need:

    • PHP or other backend language experience (python, ruby, java)
    • MySQL
    • Consumer facing SaaS/product experience
      • Not a fit for candidate with enterprise experience
    • 2+ years experience as a Backend engineer

    Position 3: Fullstack Engineer

    What you need:

    • PHP or other backend language experience (python, ruby, java)

    Position 4: Marketing Designer

    Must Have:

    • Experience: 1 - 2+ years digital design experience or a degree in a related field
    • A portfolio demonstrating your passion for fun, thoughtful, and simple design. Must show the ability to create mobile graphics, web designs, online marketing communications, and visual branding
    • Great eye for layout, typography, and color theory
    • Ability to work within established brand guidelines as well as bring a fresh eye
    • Possess a thoughtful and process oriented approach, but also not afraid to quickly throw a concept together and test its viability
    • Work intelligently and resourcefully through adversity and deadlines
    • A passion for the craft of visual design and creating something that leaves a positive impression on our customer
    • You are comfortable with conceptualizing and assisting of digital and offline marketing campaigns from initial market research to frontend implementation
    • A team player who loves to collaborate and bounce ideas off others - an understanding that giving/getting feedback is crucial in growth as a designer

    What You'll Do:  

    • Design for FPD - Fun. Playful. Delightful
    • Design that’s appealing to kids, parents and educators
    • Design and collaborate with our marketing team to create compelling artwork for in-product weekly banners, social ad campaigns, reading challenges, print collateral, email campaigns and other various marketing initiatives
    • Collaborate with other teams to develop practical solutions to design challenges
    • Design compelling marketing art that will engage our customers and satisfy business and technical requirements
    • Help to shape our brand in the months and years to come
